The Travel Connector
I am Karina Liendo, and my artistic storytelling name is Karina Travel Connector. The name reflects who I am at my core: a passionate traveler who loves to connect people and places through stories. I like to think of myself as a cultural bridge, carrying memories, traditions, and voices across borders.
I narrate stories in English and Spanish for children, families, and adults, always seeking to create moments of connection, curiosity, and wonder.
When I’m not narrating, I’m gathering inspiration from books and from the road. I feel fortunate to have visited 40 countries—each one offering new stories, new flavors, and new ways of seeing the world. And still, there is so much more to explore.
My Journey
Once upon a time, in a small city in Peru, a girl was born. Every night, she fell asleep listening to the stories her father read to her. Inspired by his adventures overseas, she began to dream of traveling the world and learning from other cultures.
Fifty years later, that little girl living abroad now understands the importance of preserving her own traditions and sharing them with the community she calls home. Through the ancient art of storytelling—passed from generation to generation—she discovered the perfect way to do just that.
In 2022, a single sentence—“One day, all of us are going to be words”—led her to La Escuela de Cuentacuentos in Madrid and to her tribe. From that moment on,her own journey into the art of storytelling truly began.
And what a journey it has been. The same year she began narrating stories across Massachusetts for children and adults, in English and Spanish.
A few months later, she attended Maratón de los Cuentos in Guadalajara, Spain—a gathering where hundreds of storytellers, amateur and professional, come together from around the world. There she shared her first original travel story, inspired by her experience on the Inca Trail.
Since then more international festivals have come and many more stories have invited her audiences to travel with their imagination, just as she once did.
